COLIN BASS / DANIEL BIRO – “STILL”

2020 album Colina i Daniela to piękny klimatyczny album, bardzo spokojny, do zadumy. Będzie się podobać wszystkim wielbicelom klimatycznej i spokojnej muzyki np. z pod znaku starych wydawnictw NO-MAN czy NOSOUND.

Współpraca dwóch podobnie myślących umysłów muzycznych: Colin Bass (Camel, Steve Hillage) na wokalu, basie i fortepianie oraz Daniel Biro na klawiszach. Po latach powolnych pomysłów obaj wreszcie, podobnie jak dobre wino, osiągnęli swój projekt dojrzałości.
Zbiór starannie wykonanych, intymnych piosenek, które powstały bardzo organicznie, wyłącznie z woli dwóch bohaterów, aby „sprawić, by coś się stało”. Aby stworzyć coś bardzo osobistego, kruchego, pięknego, które wiernie odzwierciedlało smutny stan dwojga ludzi spoglądających na życie z „wytrawnego” punktu widzenia. Odzyskiwanie niewinności poprzez doświadczenie.
Dlaczego „nadal”? Ponieważ wszystko jest dość powolne. Ambientowe piosenki. Niewiele bębnów, tylko klasyczne klawiatury Daniela (fortepian Rhodes, syntezatory Moog, Hammonds, struny, pianino akustyczne), elektryczny bas Colina i, oczywiście, głos. Bezruch kontemplacji, ale z silnymi emocjonalnymi nurtami, które wywołują niewinność dzieciństwa, złożoność miłości i zagadki społeczne. To także „wciąż” „wciąż wierzyć”, „wciąż to robić” i „wciąż żyć z pasją”. Mimo wszystko ... wciąż ...

A collaboration between two like-thinking musical minds: Colin Bass (Camel, Steve Hillage) on vocals, bass and piano, and Daniel Biro on keyboards. After years of slow-nurturing ideas, the two have finally, like a good wine, got their project to reach maturity.
A collection of carefully crafted, intimate songs that came about very organically, purely through the will of the two protagonists to 'make something happen'. To create something very personal, fragile, beautiful, that faithfully reflected the wistful state of mind of two people looking at life from a 'seasoned' vantage point. Reclaiming innocence through experience.
Why 'Still'? Because it's all quite slow-moving. Ambient songs. Not much drums, just Daniel's vintage keyboards (Rhodes piano, Moog synths, Hammonds, string machines, acoustic piano), Colin's electric bass and, of course, voice. The stillness of contemplation but with strong emotional undercurrents that evoke childhood's innocence, love's complexities and society's conundrums. It's also the 'still' of 'still believing', 'still doing it' and 'still living with passion'. Despite everything... still...
CD comes in gatefold carboard sleeve with 24 pages booklet. Made in the EU.
