„Call The Distant” to album o wyjątkowym, międzynarodowym rodowodzie. W pracach nad płytą wzięli udział artyści, muzycy i inżynierowie dźwięku pochodzący z Polski, Hiszpanii, Kuby, Wielkiej Brytanii i USA. Nagrania prowadzone były w Polsce oraz USA, jednak główną ich część zrealizowano na Majorce, z towarzyszeniem symfoników Palma de Mallorca, stolicy archipelagu Balearów.

„Call The Distant” jest próbą stworzenia muzyczno-lirycznej opowieści o kondycji współczesnego świata, dręczących go niepokojach, nawiedzających upiorach przeszłości i przyszłości. Polegając na własnej intuicji oraz emocjach artyści budują alegoryczną opowieść o indywidualnych oraz zbiorowych traumach, lękach i nadziejach. „Call the Distant” to projekt, w którym motywy i nastrojowość muzyki klasycznej, filmowej i progresywnej spotykają się z latynoskim groovem, harmoniami i brzmieniami Bliskiego Wschodu oraz, momentami, z niemal rockową dynamiką. Partie fortepianu, miejscami klasyczne a miejscami awangardowe, doprawione zostały odrobiną psychodelii i nokturnalnej oleistości spod znaku Nicka Cave’a a nawet - domieszką soulu czy jazzu.

Za każdy element dźwiękowej faktury albumu odpowiadają najwyższej próby muzycy i artyści, reprezentujący różne style i tradycje. Wśród nich takie postaci, jak Sheela Gathright, soulowa wokalistka pochodząca z Nowego Jorku, kubańska perkusistka Nailé Sosa Aragón, Miquel Brunet pianista i jedna z najwybitniejszych współczesnych osobowości muzycznych Balearów, saksofonista Marcos Monge, skrzypek Enrique Barrenengoa, filharmonicy Palma de Mallorca, aż po godną reprezentację Polaków w postaci Agi Derlak, wybitnej pianistki jazzowej młodego pokolenia, rodzimego specjalisty od instrumentów orientalnych Tomasza „Ragaboya” Osieckiego oraz znanego multiinstrumentalisty Macieja Caputy.

Pomysłodawcami projektu są autor muzyki Tomasz Kudelski oraz producent Jacek Szabrański.

"Call The Distant" is an album with a uniquely international sweep. Artists, musicians, and sound engineers from Poland, Spain, Cuba, the UK and US combined their talents during the creative and production process. Some of the tracks were recorded in Poland and the US but the majority were completed in Mallorca, accompanied by members of Symphony Orchestra of Palma de Mallorca.

"Call The Distant" is an attempt to create a lyrical soundscape weaving stories about the condition of our contemporary world, the anxieties that torment it, and the ghosts that haunt us. The album is the result of the Kudelski coming to terms with his own feelings and calling upon his intuition. Together with accompanying artists, he tries to capture and reimagine the key motifs of our changing world. Together, they look inwards to discover the allegorical power surrounding our individual and collective mind. At the same time, with the help of words and sounds, the musicians define our inner and outer transformations, yesterday’s phantoms, and tomorrow’s fears.

The album is an invitation to take part in an artistic journey through successive levels of the individual and collective subconscious, imbued with the aftereffects of the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual energy borne out of contemporary transformation.

"Call the Distant" is a project in which progressive, classical and cinematic motifs meet Latin grooves, eastern scales and hypnotic harmonies and, at times, rock-driven energy. The piano is often classical, sometimes avant-garde, and frequently seasoned with psychedelia and nocturnal oiliness of Nick Cave with a splash of soul.

The composer Tomasz Kudelski and producer Jacek Szabrański have put together an impressive team. Every sound and texture reflects the different styles and traditions of the musicians: Sheela Gathright, a soul vocalist from New York kicks off the ensemble cast. Nailé Sosa Aragón from Cuba, wonderful jazz percussionist and drummer is responsible for percussion sounds and effects. Miquel Brunet is a pianist and one of the most outstanding contemporary musical personalities of the Balearic Islands. Saxophonist Marcos Monge and violinist Enrique Barrenengoa as well as members of Palma de Mallorca Philharmonic Orchestra complete the international package. Three Polish musicians add an Eastern European hue to the album: Aga Derlak, an outstanding jazz pianist and rising musical star; oriental instrumentalist guru Tomasz "Raggaboy" Osiecki, and the well-known multi-instrumentalist Maciej Caputa.
