WAVE -„Music for the Night Drivers"

Każdy z nas jest w trakcie podróży z dzieciństwa ku starości. Przyszłość jest jedną wielką niewiadomą toteż życie jest codzienną próbą przewidywania na podstawie naszych doświadczeń - kolejnych zdarzeń. Jak powszechnie wiadomo źródłem naszego cierpienia jest świadomość, że istnieje coś więcej niż teraźniejszość. Czas nocnej podróży staje się zatem alegorycznym odniesieniem do naszej egzystencji- kiedy w mroku, w świetle reflektorów staramy się dostrzec , przewidzieć co przygotowuje nam los. Każdy kto choć raz odbył długą nocną wyprawę autem wie ,że po pewnej chwili podróży - umysł wpada mimowolnie w rodzaj transu, wyciszenia i swoistej duchowej lewitacji. To stan w którym przypominamy sobie dawno zakończone relacje, dzieciństwo, twarze ludzi o których na co dzień nie pamiętamy, zdarzenia, sytuacje, słowa, miejsca do których tęsknimy- wszystko to co zamieszkuje naszą podświadomość. Intymny, ciepły klimat, nocnej samotnej podróży z delikatną smugą sączącej się radiowej muzyki- sprzyja także autoanalizie, retrospekcji naszych lęków, słabości ,obaw i fobii. Dokładnie to czyni bohater tego albumu podróżując jednocześnie w głąb siebie w poszukiwaniu piękna i prawdy, zadając sobie bolesne pytania których się boi -od których ucieka na co dzień. Bilans przedstawia się niestety mało optymistycznie a jego kulminacja afirmuje się w utworze „In” gorzkim rozliczeniem emocjonalnym. Ukojeniem okazuje się zakończenie podróży o świcie ,widok swoich rodzinnych stron przy pierwszych oznakach budzącego się dnia- daje jednak bohaterowi wyczekiwaną nadzieję, ulgę i oczyszczenie (Return).

Od strony muzycznej album jawi się nam w porównaniu z poprzednimi materiałami- płytą bardziej intymną, zmysłową, kameralną z elementami ambientu i jazzu -o baśniowej aurze, odrealnionym i ilustracyjnym klimacie.

Dziękujemy wszystkim którzy w sposób całkowicie bezinteresowny wsparli nas przy tworzeniu obecnego repertuaru w szczególności naszych przyjaciół - muzyków biorących udział w tej sesji.

Płytę poświęcamy wszystkim wizjonerom, którzy w różnych dziedzinach m.in. sztuki i nauki, wyprzedzali swoje czasy, skazując się niejednokrotnie na niezrozumienie i samotność- trwając jednak do końca przy swoich przekonaniach ( Lullaby for Sleepyheads).

Ale to album przede wszystkim dla Was, naszych słuchaczy- przed którymi chylimy czoła- żyjących we własnych unikalnych światach wrażliwości na piękno, dla których muzyka jest stale niezbędnym elementem piękna oraz harmonii życia. Dla Was warto to nadal robić mimo znacznego i bezwzględnego oporu rzeczywistości. Z całego serca zapraszamy- mając nadzieję ,że nasze dźwięki staną się stałym elementem Waszych podróży oraz… wyposażenia Waszych pojazdów- może gdzieś obok apteczki i gaśnicy-).

As human beings we are in a constantly changing period of transition from an early childhood to an ald age. While having this journey only once in a lifetime, the future seems uncertain at every stage and appears as a great enigma. Therefore ,basing on our experience we are determined to predict what may happen next in etery and subsequent corner of our existence. It’s a common knowledge ,that this involves a constant struggling with our conciousness of something more apart from the presence. The time of night driving thus becomes an allegorical reference to our earthly existence . While driving in the dark , we desperately try to predict what the future may bring. Every one of us , who for once took a night driving , experienced a peculiar feeling of being mute, calm and spiritually levitated. This state of mind brings back the past occurrences and events , the people’s faces already or soon to be forgotten, and the places we are longing to get to. All these, are simply elements of our subconciousness. If it weren’t for this atmosphere of intimacy created by a lonely driving through the darkness with the background music , we wouldn’t probably be able to retrospect these fears, weaknesses, doubts and mistrusts of ours. That’s exactly what the protagonist of our album is doing, getting an insight into its mind in search for both – the beauty and the truth . At the same time they keep asking themselves painful questions , which they don’t dare to ask in everyday hustle and bustle. On the balance the result doesn’t look optimistic and the peak point results in the song IN as a rather painful emotional self- reckoning .The consolation comes with the end of the journey at dawn. Approaching their neck of the woods and familar sorroundings brings a long awaited relief, hope and a spiritual absolution.

Musically , for all those who are already familiar with our previous albums, this one seems more private, intimate with purposely shaped melancholia and and includes some elements of jazz. Sonically , we tried to create some unreal climate,which allows a potential listener to submerge in an unearthly aura. Try it and decide whether we’ve managed it or not

We would like to thank all those who selflessly supported us with making these tunes, particularly our fellow musicians who greatly contributed to them during the recording sessions. The album is dedicated to all visioneers and dreamers, who ahead of their times with the the concepts and ideas , were therefore outcasted from society being banished to loneliness and misunderstanding. However, they have never given up and stuck to their beliefs and convictions. ( Lullaby for Sleepyheads).

This album is predominantly a tribute to our fans to whom we bow our heads. For all it is worth we’ve been doing it and we will. If it hadn’t been for you and your commitment , we wouldn’t have made it as it is. We refer to your aesthetic and constant need for music beauty as an indispensable element of life. You are invited to our music. Hopefully it will becomeyour travelling necessitysomewhere between or next to the car fire extinguisher and first aid kit. -) WAVE
